ABOUT

Head Abroad is an ambitious project that aims at connecting and unifying the worlds of travel and journalism, offering a new perspective on travel blogs to put the focus on the locals that welcome tourists, rather than on the tourists themselves, and to move the attention from the what to the who.

The story behind the project

Few years ago, I started writing my day-to-day life on personal journals, where my experiences were the file rouge, and all the “strangers” I met daily, the decorative, beautiful frame of the narration. I was uncertain about the purpose but conscious that one day this would’ve turned into something special. I knew I wanted to create a space to people to talk about their stories, but I’ve never really thought about it as something doable, rather as a blurry vision “for the future”.

Writing stories about the peculiarity that define our beings and our origins, find the unique sides of each one of us that create who we are; and through these unique aspects, create a connection with the world.
